WOW ! Walk on Wednesday - I am really pleased with how our first day of WOW worked. A large number of children, parents and staff made a big effort to reduce the number of cars we used to get to school on that school day. Many managed to walk into school from quite a good distance and some of those that lived too far away to walk arranged to share lifts with other people and reduce the number of cars we used. The staff played their part as well and the number of cars used between the thirty teachers and teaching assistants was down to five.
We did a survey last term of the way people got to school last term and compared it with this Wednesday the results were as follows.

Top Class this week were 6s with only 4 children coming by car. The Champions this week.

Now we will try and keep up the good work next Wednesday and get below 100 cars !

Coffee Morning - Next week we will be holding a Coffee Morning between 9 and 10-00am and all parents and friends are welcome. It is a chance to have a cup of coffee, cake and a chat with other parents. I will make sure I am available on the morning and the Year 4 Staff will be available to discuss any school issues with you.

SATS — just a reminder that the tests start on Monday 14 May 2007. Please ensure that your child attends school for these most important tests.

Training Day — a reminder that there is a Staff Training Day on Monday 4 June 2007; the children will return to school on the Tuesday after the Spring Bank Holiday .
