Meet our friend

Nyathi Sibongisiwe

In 2003 Signhills Junior School began its sponsorship of Nyathi Sibongisiwe through

World Vision

Each year we as a school donate approximately £200 raised through concerts, donations, etc., to help care for Sibongisiwe and her family.

She lives in a village in Metabeleland South in Africa - the nearest town is Bulawayo, 185km away!

Apparently her staple food is maize meal. Sibonisiwe is 10 years old - her birthday is on March 17th. Each year we send her a card and small gifts of rubbers, pencils, stickers and stationary.

Each year we receive a letter and information about Sibongisiwe's progress and a recent photograph.
